Electrical Safety Checks

eCertify's home electrical safety check is a visual check of an Auckland home's electrical installation, from the point of supply to the last light fitting, with a written report on its condition. It does not include testing and it is not a certificate. Where you need testing or a certificate, eCertify tells you which inspection fits before anything is booked.

Why a safety check matters

Faulty electrical wiring and improperly installed fittings are a leading cause of residential fires in New Zealand. Homes built prior to 1970 can contain unsafe cabling and inadequate cable protection, and the risk these installations pose increases over time. Don't leave it until it's too late. Make sure your family and investment are protected.

How we check

eCertify's team looks over your installation area by area, from the point of supply to the smoke alarms, and rates each area from Excellent to Unsafe, with notes, recommendations and photos where useful.

What we check

From your point of supply, to the light in the garden shed, and everything in between.

On completion we:

Let you know of anything requiring immediate attention
Give you a written report on the condition of your electrical installation, with recommendations
Quote any repairs you want done, with no obligation: you can use any electrician you like
