DETAILS

We can arrange a site visit directly with the listing agent.

Once on site we carry out full electrical system check using visual inspection and a suite of electrical testing

Our fully registered and qualified inspectors & electricians throughout inspect all parts of the electrical installation,

Checking for any sections which have been incorrectly installed or have degraded to an unsafe state.

 

OUTCOMES

If we find that the installation is safe and up-to-code, we can issue a Certificate of Verification (Energy Works Certificate) on the day
(this document certifies that the installation is electrically safe. this is the document your insurer requires)

 
If we find indications that the electrical work has not been installed correctly - or has degraded to an unsafe state due to age - we then build a report of remedial work required before certification can be issued.


The report is NOT shared with the vendor or listing agent, unless first confirmed with you.

In some cases the purchaser will share the report with the vendor/listing agent, and we’ll work with the vendor to rectify issues - getting certification sorted asap.

In some cases you may wish to share the report with the listing agent, so that they are aware of issues (and in turn, may have a duty to disclose this information to other prospective purchasers)

 

REMEDIAL WORK

We can provide formal quotes for any remedial work required, these will typically be sent to the vendor for rectification.
