INFO
Most purchasers get building inspections as part of their due diligence, however most inspectors are ex-builders - with limited knowledge of electrical systems.
We’ve seen purchasers get burned by inspectors who have only had a cursory look into the building’s electrical system, not realising the issues that lie within the walls.
Re-wiring a full home can be $20-30K - definitely something that you want to be aware of before you settle!
Our clients have saved themselves ten’s of thousands of dollars of headaches, and have successfully negotiated large sale price reductions as a result of our comprehensive reporting.
Know what you’re getting into, make sure your new purchase is electrically safe.
DETAILS
Full electrical system check using visual inspection and a full suite of electrical testing
Our fully registered and qualified inspectors & electricians will throughout inspect all parts of the electrical installation,
Checking for any sections which have been incorrectly installed or have degraded to an unsafe state.
On completion we issue a report regarding the safety of your installation,
Including a list of any remedial work required or sections that need to be investigated further.
This report can be used in negotiations with the vendor and can be referenced by your conveyancing lawyer for contract issues.
REMEDIAL WORK
We can provide formal quotes for any remedial work required, so that you know exactly what the repair costs will be.
Quoted work can either be accepted by the vendor and completed prior to settlement / move-in OR can be used to negotiate with the vendor (work completed after settlement)
NOTES
